1.Post: Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer)

• Number of posts: 11 [ST: 11]
• Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
• Required skill: Shorthand @ 80 words per minute in English OR in Hindi in 10 minutes. Transcription of dictation in English in 50 minutes OR in Hindi in 65 minutes, on computer.
• Age limit: Between 18 to 25 years. The Upper age relaxation is up to 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 3 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates.
• Salary: Pay Level– 5 (Rs. 29,200 – 92,300) in pay matrix.

2.Post: Head Constable (Ministerial)

• Number of posts: 312 [UR: 154, EWS: 41, OBC: 65, SC: 38, ST: 14]
• Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
• Required Skill: 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer. (35 w.p.m in English and 30 w.p.m in Hindi correspond to 10500 KDPH in English and 9000 KDPH in Hindi respectively with an average of 5 key depressions for each word on the computer). Time Allowed: 10 minutes.
• Age limit: Between 18 to 25 years. The Upper age relaxation is up to 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 3 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates.
• Salary: Pay Level– 4 (Rs. 25,500 – 81,100) in pay matrix.

How to apply for BSF Recruitment 2022: Head Constable & ASI Stenographer

• The application must be submitted through ONLINE mode only. No other mode for submission of application will be accepted.
• Interested & Eligible candidates can apply through the BSF Recruitment portal https://rectt.bsf.gov.in

Online application will compromise the following steps:

• Part-I: One-Time Registration (OTR)
• Part-II: Filling of online application
• Part-III: Payment of examination fee through prescribed digital mode

Application fee:

Candidates applying for the post of ASI(Steno) and HC(Ministerial) to pay Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) as examination fee.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, BSF candidates, Female candidates, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of examination fee. However, Rs.40/- plus taxes = Rs.47.2/- will be charged to every candidate including exempted category as “service charge” by the CSC.

• Physical Measurement.
• Shorthand Test for ASI(Steno).
• Typing Speed Test for HC(Min).
• Documentation (Checking of Documents)
• Medical Examination.
