KVS Shillong Recruitment 2023: Teaching and Non Teaching Jobs

KVS Shillong Recruitment 2023: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Laitkor Peak, Air Force Station, Shillong has released an employment notification for the recruitment of the below-mentioned posts. Interested and Eligible candidates to attend the walk-in interview to be held on 22.02.2023.

1. Post Name:- Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

• Subjects:- Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Hindi, English, History, Commerce, Geography & Economics
• Essential Qualification:-
  1. Two years Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. The course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject;
  OR
  Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects:
  a) PGT (English): English
  b) PGT (Hindi): Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi as one of the subjects at the Graduate level.
  c) PGT (Maths): Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics
  d) PGT (Physics): Physics/ Electronics/ Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics.
  e) PGT (Chemistry): Chemistry/ Bio. Chem.
  f) PGT (Biology): Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Bio Sciences/ Genetics/ Micro Biology/Bio-Technology/ Molecular Bio/ Plant Physiology provided they have studied Botany and Zoology at the Graduation level.
  g) PGT (Commerce): Master’s Degree in Commerce. However, holders of Degrees of M. Com in Applied/Business Economics shall not be eligible.
  h) PGT (Economics): Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics.
  i) PGT (History): Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in History subjects.
  j) PGT (Geography): Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Geography subjects.
  2. B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized university
  3. Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
• Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications.

2. Post Name:- Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

• Essential Qualification:-
  1) Four years Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  Or
  Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subjects concerned/ combination of subjects and in aggregate. The elective subjects and the combination of subjects are as under:
  a) For TGT (Sanskrit): Sanskrit as a subject in all three years.
  b) For TGT (Hindi): Hindi as a subject in all three years.
  c) For TGT (English): English as a subject in all three years.
  d) For TGT (S. St): Any two of the following subjects: History, Geography, Economics, and Pol. Science of which one must be History or Geography.
  e) For TGT (Maths): Bachelor’s Degree in Maths with any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics.
  f) For TGT (Science): Bachelor’s Degree in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry.
  2) Pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), conducted by CBSE by the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
• Desirable:
  1. Proficiency in teaching through Hindi and English Mediums,
  2. Knowledge of Computer Applications.

3. Post Name:- Primary Teacher (PRT)

• Essential Qualification:-
  a) Senior Secondary Certificate with 50% marks Or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent with JBT/Diploma or Certificate in Basic Teachers Training (2 Years) or Bachelor of Elementary Education or B.Ed.
  b) Pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE by the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
  c) Proficiency in teaching through Hindi & English media.
  Or
  a) Graduation with 50% Marks.
  b) B.Ed. with 50% marks.
  c) Preferably p in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper I conducted by the Cbywith the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
  d) Proficiency in teaching through Hindi & English Mediums.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Application

4. Post Name:- Balvatika Teacher

• Essential Qualification:-
  i) Senior Secondary Class (Class XII or equivalent) from a recognized board with at least 50% marks
  &
  ii) Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education/ Pre-school Education/ Early childhood Programme(D.E.C.Ed.) of the duration of not less than two years or B.Ed. (Nursery) from NCTE recognized Institutions.

5. Post Name:- Computer Instructor

• Essential Qualification:-
  Any one of B. Tech/ BCA/ MCA/ M.Sc. (CS/IT)/ B.Sc.(CS)
  OR
  Graduate/ PG (Science/Maths) with PGDCA or PG in any subject with a “B” level from DOEACC from Govt. recognized institutions

6. Post Name:- Nurse (Female candidates preferred)

• Essential Qualification:- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with registration in the Nursing Council. Experienced candidates will be given preference.

7. Post Name:- Counsellor

• Essential Qualification:- B.A./B.Sc.(Psychology) with a certificate of diploma in counseling.
• Desirable qualification required:-
  Minimum of one year experience in providing career/educational counseling to students at schools.
  Or
  Working knowledge and experience in placement bureaus.
  Or
  Registration with the rehabilitation council of India as a vocational counselor.
