Meghalaya Scholarship 2022: Apply for various Scholarship Schemes

Meghalaya Scholarship 2022:- The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Meghalaya, Shillong invites applications (Fresh and Renewal) from students who are permanent residents in the State of Meghalaya for the year 2021-22 for the following schemes. The last date for submission of the application is 18th February 2022.

OFFLINE MODE

1. Pre Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste students studying within the state of Meghalaya from class IX up to class X in Government schools/institutes or private schools/institutes recognized by the appropriate authority of the State. The annual income of Parents for Scheduled Caste students should not exceed Rs. 2.00 Lakhs p.a.

2. Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste students who are pursuing higher studies in different courses from class XI to Post Graduation. The annual income of Parents for Schedule Caste Students should not exceed Rs. 2.50 Lakhs p.a.

How to apply for Meghalaya Scholarship 2022 OFFLINE

The Application form may be downloaded from the Website through the URL:http://megeducation.gov.in/dhte/scholarship/schemes/scholarship_forms.html and submitted to
the O/o Director of Higher and Technical Education, Kennilworth Road, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.

All Principals submitting the application forms should submit along with the soft copy. The last date of submission of application forms will be on or before the 18th of February 2022. No application form will be entertained after the above-specified date.

ONLINE MODE

1. Free Studentship Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste for students who are pursuing higher studies in different courses from class XI to Post-Graduation. Students who failed in the previous year and also those students who are not eligible to apply for Post Matric Scholarship for Schedule Tribe/Schedule Caste on account of their parent’s income exceeding Rs. 2.50 Lakhs p.a. are eligible to apply for this Scholarship.

2. Book Grant Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe students who are pursuing higher studies in different courses from class XI to Post-Graduation (excluding Vocational, Engineering, Medical & Paramedical courses) and who secured 60% marks and above during previous year examination are eligible to apply for the Book Grant Scholarship.

3. Merit Scholarship for Tribal and General Students of Meghalaya who have secured a very high percentage of marks in Class X, XII (MBOSE, AIICSE & CBSE) and Degree Examination 2021 for a specific number of Merit Scholarships to be chosen Merit Wise.

4. Post Graduate Research Scholarship for the students of Meghalaya (SC/ST and General) who are doing research courses in University or Research Institutions for M.Phil or Ph.D. and who secured 50% marks and above at Master Degree level are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.

5. Border Areas Scholarship from students belonging to SC/ST categories of the State of Meghalaya who are pursuing Post Matric Studies within and outside the State during the current year 2021-2022.

The last date of submission of online applications is on 18th February 2022 after which the portal will automatically close.

Instructions for Online application for Meghalaya Scholarship 2022

  • Students must provide a functional and valid email address since all notifications and correspondence will be via. email. No SMS notification will be sent. Students may download the mobile app “Sandes” from Google Play Store. The number used for registration in the app should also be filled in the online application forms, so as to receive notifications in the Sandes app.
  • Students must carefully check their online application details for any errors before finally submitting their forms.
  • All documents to be uploaded should be correctly uploaded in the fields provided. Once the Final Submit button is clicked, the Directorate will not be held responsible for any errors on the part of the applicant.
  • While submitting an application online, the student is held solely responsible for any information provided therein. Any student found providing false information will have his application canceled immediately.
  • Students must ensure that all details provided in the form are correct and the uploaded scanned copies of the documents to be clearly visible. If there is any discrepancy in the details/documents provided, his/her application will be canceled.
  • Online application along with all enclosures completed in all respects should be submitted through the online portal within the stipulated date.
  • Submission of hard copy is not required.
