Sainik School Admission 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released official notification of All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2022 for the admission into to Class VI and Class IX in 33 Sainik Schools across the country, for the academic year 2022-23.
Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE and managed by Sainik Schools Society (Ministry of Defence). They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other training academies for Officers.
Sainik School Admission Details
- Name of exam: All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)
- Academic session: 2022-23
- Date of exam: 09th January 2021 (Sunday)
- Mode of exam: Pen Paper (OMR Sheets based)
- Paper pattern: Multiple Choice questions
Duration of Exam:
- Class 6th: 150 minutes
- Class 9th: 180 minutes
Eligibility Criteria of Sainik School Admission
Candidates wish to appear for AISSEE 2022-23 session must have following educational qualification
Class VI: Candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as of 31.03.2022. Admission for Girls is open in Class-VI only in all Sainik Schools.
Class IX: Candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as of 31.03.2022 and should have passed Class VIII, front a recognized school, at the time of admission. Admission to Class IX is not open for girls.
Examination Fee of AISSEE 2022
Candidates appearing for AISSEE 2022 must pay an application fee as mentioned below. Application fee must be pay only through online mode.
- SC/ST: Rs. 400/-
- Others: Rs. 550/-
The exam fee is also required to be paid online through payment gateway, using debit/ credit cards or internet banking or PAYTM Wallet.

Online application will be available from 27th September 2021 to 26th October 2021 at National Testing Agency (NTA) website.
