SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2022: Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Vacancy, Online Application

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2022: Staff Selection Commission (SSC), New Delhi has released an employment notification for the recruitment of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Vacancy. The last date for submission of the application is 05/09/2022.

Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’

  • Educational Qualification (As on 05.09.2022): Candidates must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  • Age Limit:
  1. Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2022, i.e., candidates born not before 02.01.1992 and not later than 01.01.2004 are eligible to apply.
  2. Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2022, i.e., Candidates born not before 02.01.1995 and not later than 01.01.2004 are eligible to apply.

Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.

Application Fee of SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’

(a) Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only)

(b) Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

(c) Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

(d) Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 06.09.2022 (2300 hours). However, candidates who wish to make payment through challan of SBI, may make the payment at designated branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 06.09.2022 provided the challan has been generated by them before 05.09.2022 (2300 hours).

CBT Exam for SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’

(i) Subject: General Intelligence & Reasoning

No. of Questions: 50 marks

(ii) Subject: General Awareness

No. of Questions: 50 marks

(iii) Subject: English Language and Comprehension

No. of Questions: 100 marks

# Question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.

# There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

(a) General Intelligence & Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

(b) General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidates‟ general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test the knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

(c) For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability, there will be no component of Maps/ Graphs/Diagrams/Statistical Data in the General Intelligence & Reasoning/General Awareness Paper.

(d) English Language & Comprehension: In addition to the testing of candidates’ understanding of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc., his/her writing ability would also be tested.
